Thank you for making our 1st event a success

E-mail sent by Itoro Etuk, Friday, 22nd October 2010 @ 6:50pm

Hello guys,

Thank you to all those who attended our first free event yesterday evening. For all those who could not make it due to other commitments, don't worry - there will be more exciting events to come!

This first event was a very successful turn out. It was nice to see everyone so engaged with helping Nestle come up with new products. Well-done to all those who presented for their teams, the Nestle recruiters were very impressed with the innovative ideas and contribution. And for the winning team Bravo!!! you did really great. Hope you all enjoyed the chocolates. This exercise was similar to aspects of their assessment centre so hopefully you were all able the gather the skills needed to do well if you ever find yourself in that situation.
Morven from Bright Futures who joined us from Scotland was also really pleased.

We now have more people now interested in joining and helping out the committee. Its going to be a great year. We will be in touch soon about our events coming up.

Reminder! Todays event LN/006 6pm-7.30pm (with Nestle/Bright futures)

E-mail sent by Itoro Etuk, Thursday, 21st October 2010 @ 8:47am

This is a reminder for today's event in LN/006 6pm-7.30pm(please be there on time) we now have a Facebook event please go on to it and find out more about the event. Check our facebook page

You will get a chance to find out more about the Bright Futures Society and the National Organisation. Even if we are a new committee and newly re-established society we made sure our first event links you straight to a graduate recruiter. This is a taste of what to expect in future with this society. We will try our best to link you with more with more employers this school year.

Morven Fraser from the Bright Futures National Organisation will be present to brief you about the society.

We are also welcoming Claire Adams from Nestle graduate recruitment. She works at Nestle's head-quarters in London and is senior to the Nestle representatives that will be at the Finance and management fair earlier that day (We hope you will be going for that its 11am-3pm in physics). She will execute a skills session with two Nestle staff from the York office. You can ask questions about recruitment in Nestle for both graduate Jobs and intern-ships. Nestles deadline is in December so this is a great opportunity to meet the recruiter in person. Even if you are not interested in Nestle its a great way to find out about graduate recruitment in general.
