P&G Sales and Marketing Event- TONIGHT!

E-mail sent by Laura Patrick, Wednesday, 1st February 2012 @ 1:07pm

Time: 18.00-20.00
Place : ATB/057

Just a quick reminder about the event this evening. This event has a Sales and Marketing careers focus, so it really is relevant to students from a very wide range of degree disciplines. Come along and find out more about what P&G do and what it would be like to work for them!

There will be some free food and drink too!

Event information:

Procter & Gamble (P&G) are coming to York on Wednesday 1st Feb, to host a special event on Sales and Marketing career opportunities!

P&G is one of the largest companies in the world, with a huge variety of successful brands including Oral-B, Gilette, Pampers, Duracel and Pringles just to name a few. Chances are you use or consume a product that P&G has created on a daily basis, so as you can imagine the opportunities available are vast.

Did you know P&G invented the concept of brands and brand management? At P&G, marketing is at the core of their business, and remaining consistently at the cutting edge has not occurred by luck, only through constant innovation and hiring new, fresh-minded graduates do they expect to remain this way.

The Customer Business Development concept, which P&G pioneered, is at the heart of the Sales department. It comes from recognising that two-way partnerships with their customers are fundamental to the growth of the business, and is key to P&G's success in consistently maintaining great relationships with all its customers.

So if you're interested in potentially pursuing a career in Sales or Marketing, or wish to just get a better insight as to exactly how such a multi-national company works, be sure to attend!

Here is a brief outline of the event:

· Intro videos

· Background to P&G – who we are and what we do

· Outline of different departments and what each one does

· What a career at P&G looks like

· A business game and case study to give everyone a taste of the kind of work that we do and how we manage the challenges the business presents to us

· Q&As

Hope to see you there!
