Thanks again for signing up to Bright Futures York.
Just a reminder about our first event of the academic 'How to get the best Graduate Job' which is taking place this evening in P/T/005 (Exhibition centre) at 6.45pm.

This event is open to and relevant to people in all years! It is a chance to meet the current Bright Futures committee at York as well as the national manager of Bright Futures Jackie Jobes. Also refreshments will be provided.

It would really help us if you could register for the event on groupspaces so we can gauge numbers but if you don't get time do come along anyway and make sure you spread the word!

We're looking for new committee members to take over the reigns at the Bright Futures society.

All positions are great ways to add extra experience on to your CV and joining the committee is seen as a proactive step when applying for internships and graduate jobs.

Hello everyone!
Just to let you know about an exclusive Assessment Centre workshop event with Deloitte on Thursday 23/02/12 13.30 in V/120.

Deloitte are coming back to York for a repeat of last year's incredibly successful workshop on Assessment Centres to help you prepare for yours.

Alternatively, if you don't know what an Assessment Centre is and want to find out a little bit more about how they work, and more importantly, how to perform well at them, come along!

This event is open to students from all degree disciplines and would be a great advantage to those who have upcoming Assessment Centres, with any company, whether it is internship or graduate level. 

A message from Deloitte:

"Come and attend our interactive workshop to help you prepare for future assessment centres. We'll be providing information on what assessment centres are, why employers use them and the range of exercises included in selection processes.
