The folks over at the Economics Society have been working hard to bring you a fantastic event, with management consultantcy firm Accenture.


Economics Society Accenture event - Tuesday 5th February - Giving a management consultancy presentation (C/A/102 at 14:15) and providing a business game in which students will have the opportunity to work on a case study of a real client (D/056 18:00) Sign up here

Ernst & Young Games Room - now live! Play fun and brainteasing quizzes by signing up here - dozens of prizes for you up for grabs including tablets, high street vouchers, up to £1000 towards a volunteering experience and £5000 to YUSU Volunteering if York has the most sign ups.

Hi All,

Just wanted to draw your attention to a a fantastic event, designed for 1st and 2nd year students looking to gain insight on how to get an internship or a place on a graduate scheme. As many people are not well versed with the application process when they first apply, who better to help you along the way, than 3rd year students who have already gained an internship/place on a graduate scheme. This is just an informal event over drinks, meant to help you find a potential mentor, who you can exchange contact details with, should you need any advice along the way.

Location: Crowne Plaza Leeds, Wellington Street, Leeds, LS1 4DL

Tesco are offering you the chance to win £100 per person in shopping vouchers by competing in their "Apprentice" style business game! 

You will work in teams to create a product and then discuss the USP, marketing, web concept, financial side, how you will sell it, average selling cost and profit.

There will be light refreshments available and Finance and Marketing managers present to assess and advise. There will also be the chance to network.

This event is open to anyone and it is not a requirement that you have pre-existing teams as we can simply match people up on the day! Bring your friends and or flatmates along for example, we don't need to tell you how far £100 p/p can go!

This is just a quick reminder to tell you that Bright Futures York have collaborated with PWC and Bright Futures Leeds, to bring you an Insight day at the PWC office in Leeds (situated just next to the train station) and a trip to the German Christmas Market. This is taking place on Wednesday, 21st November. If you're interested then sign up here, there are a limited number of spaces so sign up fast.
